Boracic lint rhymes with skint. It means broke, without money, penniless. If you are boracic you can't go out, or do anything because you haven't got any money. Note only the first word of the phrase boracic is normally used, it is very rare to use the whole phrase boracic lint. Boracic lint is a dressing for medical use that was soaked in boracic acid. Its aim was to prevent the infection of wounds. Its popular use started in the nineteenth century
